About Woofhood
Cities got lonelier. Dogs didn't.
Most people who live in a city can name their favorite coffee shop, their dentist, the guy who fixes their bike. They often cannot name the person who lives three doors down.
Dog owners are the exception. If you've walked a dog through the same four blocks every morning for a year, you know faces. You know which dogs are friendly. You know which owner always has treats. You've had the same thirty-second sidewalk conversation about the weather forty-seven times.
Woofhood is the step after that conversation. 🐾
The thesis
Plainly.
The best way to make a friend as an adult is to do the same thing, in the same place, at the same time, with the same people, for a long time.
Dogs already pull you out into it — walks, parks, quick stops at the café. All solo.Woofhood hands you a group.
Principles
What we believe.
Consistency beats novelty.
We don't recommend new clubs every week. We help you join one and stick with it.
Small is the point.
A club isn't a fan base. Five to fifteen regulars is the sweet spot.
Proximity is a feature.
If you have to drive twenty minutes, it isn't a neighborhood. We only surface clubs near you.
Show up, don't perform.
No profiles to optimize, no content to produce. Just a schedule and a meeting spot.
The dogs are in charge.
Humans follow. It's working out fine so far.
Just so we're clear
What Woofhood is not.
- ✕A dating app. Bring whoever you want. Most people bring only the dog.
- ✕A dog-sitting marketplace. We don't take a cut of anything. There is no cut.
- ✕A social feed. No posts, no likes, no stories. We don't want your attention.
- ✕A training service. Your dog is perfect. Or they're working on it. Either way.
